By accessing or using The Word on the Beat ("the Game"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
2. Who We Are
The Game is operated by Arlock Solutions, based in the United Kingdom.
3. Description of the Game
The Word on the Beat is a web-based rhythm and word recognition game available through supported web browsers.
4. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account and agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your account secure
- Accept responsibility for activity on your account
You must be 13 or older to register.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Access
Some features are available free of charge.
Premium Subscription
Premium features are provided via an auto-renewing annual subscription, billed in advance through Stripe.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.
By purchasing digital content and gaining immediate access, you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right to cancel once access begins, unless a legal exception applies.
Price Changes
- Price changes apply immediately to new subscribers
- Existing subscribers will be notified in advance before renewal
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Game, including by cheating, abusing features, uploading inappropriate content, or attempting unauthorised access.
7. User-Generated Content
You are responsible for content you upload and for ensuring it does not infringe third-party rights.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use such content within the Game.
We may moderate or remove content to keep the Game family-friendly.
8. AI Features & Credits
Some features use AI-powered services that operate on a credit or usage basis.
- AI credits are consumed at the time of use
- Used AI credits cannot be refunded or reinstated
- AI credits are excluded from refund calculations, as their use incurs immediate third-party costs
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts (with or without notice) for breaches of these Terms, misuse, inappropriate content, fraud, or legal requirements.
Unused subscription time may be forfeited where termination results from a breach, except where required by law.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or statutory rights.
Subject to this, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your Premium subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
